Explore Seattle

Seattle is more a collection of neighborhoods, each with their own distinctive flair, than a single cohesive city. The metropolis has long celebrated diversity and independent spirit – after all, this is a place that elected the country’s first female mayor – and its neighborhoods reflect these values. Creative souls will appreciate the funky outdoor art that dots Fremont, fitness enthusiasts will gravitate to the sports fields and water sports of Greenlake, architectural buffs will love the quaint turn-of-the-century homes on Queen Anne, while late-nighters will head to the thumping music and trendy clubs of Belltown. No matter your fancy, there is a Seattle neighborhood for everyone.

Fremont Solstice

The tongue-in-cheek sign in the middle of Fremont reads “Welcome to the center of the universe” and that describes the irrelevant attitude emanating from this artsy borough. From its eclectic boutiques and funky shops to the naked bikers who ride the annual Summer Solstice parade to the statue of Lenin and the troll that you’ll find under the Fremont bridge – Fremont is just a lot of fun. Check out the neighborhood’s Sunday flea market and outdoor movies in the summer and its huge Ocktoberfest celebration in the fall.
