Nightlife in New York City
Studio 54, Limelight, Palladium, Marquee, Rose Bar, Gold Bar, One Oak — New York’s past and present clubs are infamously larger-than-life.
The locals abide to this rule of thumb when it comes to hitting the club scene: forget Friday and Saturday nights. The only people you’re likely to see are visitors and others not-in-the-know. Locals and A-listers go clubbing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, but on weekends you’ll find them at either low-key bars or in their PJs.
Be sure to dress the part, too. Over dressing and under dressing are big faux pas — ask a local friend or hotel concierge for dress codes.
Lastly, have fun. That’s the whole point, right? |
