When to go to Miami
Thanks to famously fabulous weather (our winters remain in the 70s), Miami is a year-round destination. However, most visitors flock to Miami from October to April. Why? The cooler temperatures offer an array of special events, and the performing arts take center stage. Culture flocks to Miami in December for Art Basel and in February for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival.
For the budget conscious, the summer seaason offers lower hotel rates, but be prepared for temperatures that rival the Mojave Desert — we’re talking high 90s!
Lastly, if you want you avoid a pesky hurricane from raining on your parade, take note that hurricane season officially begins June 1st and ends November 30th. But no matter what time of year you choose to come, don’t forget to pack some sunscreen as the sun and its UV rays are almost always shining.
The weather and beaches are certainly important reasons to visit this city, and there are always plenty of happenings in Miami that attract people from around the world. It´s a particular favorite for Latin Americans, Europeans, and north East Coast residents who are running away from their bitterly cold winters...
