Explore Dallas

Since the greater Dallas area encompasses countless communities and neighborhoods that surround the city itself, Dallasites are very fluent when it comes to discerning between the different areas. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, as it is often referred to, is very spread-out and can be overwhelming for newcomers simply because of the sheer size and reach of the cities. In order to give you a better sense of where to go and what you'll find in each different part of the city, we have a detailed listing of the main neighborhoods in Dallas: the Arts District, Deep Ellum, Downtown, East Dallas, Lower Greenville, the Park Cities, Lakewood, North Dallas, Oak Cliff, and Uptown. While the outlying areas often consider themselves part of Dallas, these are the most important neighborhoods for any visitor.
